About Us
GEM is owned by seasoned stylist, Eric Berger. In the hair industry for over 20 years, Eric has worked creativiely and passionately behind the chair, camera and runway. He has owned GEM for almost a decade and named the salon after his lovely wife, Meg, whom he considers a treasure.
GEM comprises 20 of the Eastside and Seattle’s most talented stylists and an esthetician/makeup artist who came to the salon straight from CNN in New York. Along with years of experience behind the chair, GEM’s stylists have participated in numerous fashion shows and photo shoots, demonstrating the high quality of their work. GEM’s front desk staff is friendly and efficient and GEM prides itself on providing high end service in an elegenat, hip, yet unpretentious environment. From the front door to the stylist’s chair clients will feel taken care of and guided in their beauty needs.
GEM offers a variety of exclusive hair and makeup products including, Oribe, Kevin Murphy, ColorProof, Youngblood, and Franceluxe hair accessories. These products have been carefully chosen by the owner who believes in serving excellence when it comes to quality.
GEM’s location is one of a kind. Right off the 520 bridge and on the water, GEM boasts a beautiful spot next to the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland. Clients are welcome to free 90 minute validated parking which makes coming to our salon a breeze. The many surrounding restaurants and businesses offer a great pre or post salon stop to enjoy the beauty of the Northwest and to see what else Carillon Point has to offer.
